Truffle is a warm medium brown in the Cuddle Extra Wide collection by Shannon Fabrics. It’s a solid minky with a plush 3mm pile, made from 100% polyester, and 90" wide for quilt backs with little or no piecing.
This cozy brown sits between camel and chocolate, so it works with a wide range of earthy and rustic quilt tops. It’s a great backing for fall and Thanksgiving quilts, farmhouse and Western designs, and kids’ quilts with bears, puppies, and woodland animals. It also hides pet hair and everyday wear better than lighter colors.
Cuddle is also a favorite for pet beds, stuffed animals, pillows, throws, and baby blankets. When sewing minky, a walking foot and extra pins or clips help keep the plush layer from creeping. Compare Truffle with Camel for a lighter tan and Woodland or Coffee for a deeper brown.
