Simply Taupe is a warm taupe from Shannon Fabrics’ Cuddle Extra Wide line. It’s a solid minky with a plush 3mm pile, made from 100% polyester, and 90" wide, so many quilt backs can be cut in one piece.
This soft, gray-brown neutral is easy to pair with almost any quilt top. It’s a great backing for farmhouse and modern quilts, neutral and earthy palettes, and gender-neutral gifts, and it hides lint and everyday wear better than white or cream.
Cuddle is also great for throws, pet beds, pillows, and stuffed animals. Compare Simply Taupe with Camel for a warmer tan and Sterling for a cooler gray. If you’re new to minky, a walking foot and plenty of pins or clips help keep the plush layer from shifting.
