carlet is a true red in the Cuddle Extra Wide collection by Shannon Fabrics. This solid minky has a plush 3mm pile, is 100% polyester, and is a generous 90" wide for quilt backs with little or no piecing.
Bold and festive, this classic red makes a cozy back for Christmas and Valentine’s Day quilts, patriotic designs, and red-and-white quilts. It’s also a popular team color, making it a fun choice for sports-themed throws and stadium blankets, and its rich color holds up beautifully against busy, scrappy quilt tops.
Cuddle works beautifully for holiday throws, stockings, pillows, apparel, and stuffed animals as well. Pair Scarlet with green and cream quilts for Christmas, or with navy and white for an Americana look. Compare it with Merlot if you’d like a deeper wine red. A walking foot and extra clips help keep minky from shifting while you sew.
