Raindrop is a pale aqua from Shannon Fabrics’ Cuddle Extra Wide line, a solid minky with a plush 3mm pile. It’s 100% polyester and 90" wide, so one length can back many quilts without piecing.
This soft, airy blue-green is a calming choice for nursery quilts, baby blankets, and coastal designs. It pairs beautifully with soft pinks, peaches, grays, and creams on the front, and it makes a gentle gender-neutral option for baby gifts. It also looks lovely behind beach and summer quilts in sandy and coral tones.
Cuddle is also great for baby accessories, apparel, pillows, stuffed animals, and throws. If you’re sewing with minky for the first time, a walking foot, a slightly longer stitch, and plenty of pins or clips make it easier to handle. Compare Raindrop with Ice for a softer, greener tone.
