Camel is a warm tan from Shannon Fabrics’ Cuddle Extra Wide line. It’s a solid minky with a plush 3mm pile, made from 100% polyester, and 90" wide for quilt backs that can often be cut in one piece.
This soft, golden neutral has a cozy, natural warmth. It’s a great backing for Western and ranch quilts, rustic and farmhouse designs, and fall quilts, and it pairs beautifully with denim blues, rust, cream, and sage on the front. It’s also a natural color for stuffed animals like bears, dogs, and horses.
Cuddle is also great for pet beds, pillows, apparel, and baby blankets. Compare Camel with Truffle for a deeper brown and Pearl for a lighter cream. If you’re new to minky, a walking foot and plenty of clips help keep the plush layer from shifting as you sew.
