Butter is a pale butter yellow from Shannon Fabrics’ Cuddle Extra Wide line, a solid minky with a plush 3mm pile. It’s 100% polyester and 90" wide, so one length can back many lap and throw quilts.
Soft and sunny, this gentle yellow brings warmth to the back of a quilt without overpowering it. It’s a sweet, gender-neutral choice for nursery quilts, baby blankets, and shower gifts, and it pairs beautifully with grays, whites, and soft pastels on the front.
Cuddle is also popular for baby accessories, stuffed animals, pillows, and apparel. Compare Butter with Sunshine if you’d like a brighter golden yellow. If you’re sewing with minky for the first time, a walking foot, a slightly longer stitch, and plenty of pins or clips help it feed evenly.
