Basil is a muted olive green in the Cuddle Extra Wide collection from Shannon Fabrics. This solid minky has a plush 3mm pile, is 100% polyester, and is 90" wide for quilt backs with little or no piecing.
Earthy and natural like fresh garden herbs, this soft green brings a calm, organic feel to the back of a quilt. It’s a lovely choice for farmhouse and botanical quilts, outdoor and camping designs, and gender-neutral gifts, and it pairs well with cream, rust, and dusty pink on the front.
Cuddle is also great for pillows, pet beds, stuffed animals, and throws. Compare Basil with Cactus for a similar olive and Juniper for a softer sage. A walking foot and extra clips make minky easier to sew.
