The 2026 Our Town Block of the Month Kit for January is Chapel, a quilt block kit designed by J. Wecker Frisch. It ships in a keepsake box with the pattern and fabric for the January quilt block. Blocks are sold individually, so you can pick up a single month rather than commit to the whole club, though the twelve installments together run from January through December 2026 and build one quilt. The finished quilt measures 72 inches by 72 inches.
Two box sizes are used across the club. The smaller measures 6 1/4 by 6 1/4 by 2 1/2 inches and holds the pattern and fabric for a single month's block. The larger measures 11 by 12 1/4 by 3 1/2 inches and adds the quilt setting and the binding. The block is rated at a confident beginner skill level. This kit is in the shop now and ready to ship.
