Pellon® Insul-Film™ is a thin sheeting that provides insulation for hot and cold barrier projects. It is lightweight and flexible, making it perfect for a variety of projects that need temperature control without the added weight of an insulative fleece.
Note: Insul-Film is not heat proof or fire resistant. We recommend using an extra layer or two of cotton batting, such as Legacy by Pellon or Nature’s Touch® 100% Cotton, between the outer fabric and the Insul-Film for pot holders or heat resistant pads. Use caution when handling any hot surfaces.
General Directions: Insul-Film is completely sewing machine safe. Use alone or with a layer or two of fleece to insulate against heat or cold. The metalized polypropylene reflects heat or cold back to the source.
Recommended Uses: Wine Totes, Ice Packs, Window Coverings, Oven Mitts, Marathon or Stadium Blankets, Jackets, Gloves or Mittens. (Please note—a slight “crinkling” noise may occur when worn.)
Fiber Content: 100% Metalized Polypropylene. Care Instructions: Machine wash warm or cold on gentle cycle; tumble dry low. Sewing Tip: Use a ball point needle for ease of sewing.
