Circles in Cream Tonal prints a soft geometric circle design in cream on cream, giving Paddle & Pine a quiet, low-volume background fabric. It was designed by Janelle Penner for White Owl Textiles and is 100% cotton quilting fabric.
Tonal backgrounds do a lot of heavy lifting in a quilt. This one has enough texture to keep large background areas from looking flat, but it's subtle enough to let pieced blocks, poster blocks, and appliqué take center stage. It also works as the light value in half-square triangles and as sashing between bolder prints.
Use it for the background of a Paddle & Pine sampler, for quilt backs where you want the quilting to show, or for napkins and pillowcases with a modern feel. It pairs naturally with Circles in Multi for a lighter companion to the same geometric, and with Tree Stripe in Cream for a layered neutral palette.
