Green Flowers is a quilting cotton from the Good Together collection, designed by Patrick Lose for Northcott Fabrics. The fabric is 100% cotton, sold as yardage and cut to length from the bolt, and it has a soft hand that makes it comfortable to work with at the machine and against the skin in a finished quilt.
A floral print asks a different question than a texture or a swirl does, which is how small you can cut it before the flowers stop reading as flowers. Larger pieces let the print show — a border, a backing, or blocks cut generously — while small patches turn it into colour and texture rather than a recognisable motif. Neither is wrong, but it is worth deciding which you want before cutting into the yardage. The soft hand presses flat and holds a crease, which helps when you are matching seams across a pieced block. It coordinates with the other prints in Good Together.
