Garden Threads – Quilting Cotton – Orange Blossom – Grass

OOrange Blossom Grass is one of the brightest prints in Garden Threads, Shelley Cavanna's companion collection to Garden Dalliance for Benartex. The ground is a fresh chartreuse yellow-green, printed with darker green interlocking circles in dashed, stitch-like lines and small green stars at each intersection.

The color has more punch than most blenders, so it works best where you want green to be noticed. Use it for leaves and stems in appliqué, the green points in star blocks, a narrow inner border, or a binding that adds a spark of color to a quilt built on indigo and aqua. The orange peel layout of overlapping circles keeps it reading as a texture rather than a busy print.

Orange Blossom Grass coordinates with the Garden Dalliance greens, Hedgerow Grass and Quadrille Grass, and with the Shadowleaf Grass 108" wide back. Both collections were designed for the projects in Shelley's book, Garden Dalliance Sampler (C&T Publishing, 2026), which pairs quilt blocks with cross-stitch patterns.
