Orange Blossom Cloud is one of the lightest prints in Garden Threads, the coordinating collection Shelley Cavanna designed for Benartex alongside Garden Dalliance. It's a low-volume fabric: a white ground printed with a soft gray-white design of interlocking circles outlined in dashed, stitch-like lines, with small star accents where the circles meet.
From a short distance it reads as a gently textured white, which makes it one of the most useful fabrics in the group. Use it as the background for pieced and appliqué blocks, as the light fabric in half-square triangles, or as sashing in a sampler where a flat white solid would feel too stark. The interlocking-circle layout also forms the petal shapes of a classic orange peel design, a quiet nod to traditional quilting.
Garden Threads was created together with Garden Dalliance for the projects in Shelley's book, Garden Dalliance Sampler (C&T Publishing, 2026), which pairs quilt blocks with cross-stitch patterns. If you're making several of the book's blocks, a background like this helps unify them.
Orange Blossom Cloud is also a good choice for pillowcases, quilt labels and the lining of a light-colored bag.
