Linen Teal is the deepest Linen print in Garden Threads, the coordinating collection Shelley Cavanna designed for Benartex to go with Garden Dalliance. A rich teal ground is covered in fine, darker teal crosshatching that imitates aida cloth, the evenweave fabric used for cross-stitch.
Because the lines are so close in color to the ground, Linen Teal reads as a near-solid from across the room. That makes it a dependable dark blender: use it for sashing and cornerstones, borders, binding, or the dark half of half-square triangles. It sits comfortably beside the Garden Dalliance teal prints, Hedgerow Teal, Quadrille Teal and Pressed Petals Teal, and gives them a quiet partner so their designs stay in focus. For a second teal with more visible texture, pair it with Peony Teal.
Teal also works as a bridge between Garden Dalliance’s aqua and indigo colorways, so Linen Teal can connect lighter and darker sections of a sampler. Both collections were designed for the projects in Shelley’s book, Garden Dalliance Sampler (C&T Publishing, 2026), and the Linen print is the cross-stitch surface for her Garden Dalliance Project Bag pattern.
Linen Teal also makes a practical bag exterior, zipper pouch or table runner.
