Linen Aqua takes the aida-look texture of the Garden Threads Linen print and sets it on a bright turquoise-aqua ground. Shelley Cavanna designed Garden Threads for Benartex as the coordinating collection to Garden Dalliance, and the Linen print’s fine crosshatching mimics the evenweave cloth used for cross-stitch.
At quilt distance, the texture fades and the fabric reads as a near-solid, saturated aqua. That makes it useful anywhere you want clear color without another busy design: sashing, cornerstones, binding, or the colored half of half-square triangles. Next to the Garden Dalliance aqua florals, such as Posy Aqua and Wisteria Aqua, it gives the eye a calm place to rest so the floral designs stay in focus. Orange Blossom Aqua is lighter, so the two make an easy light-and-medium aqua pair.
The Linen print also anchors Shelley’s Garden Dalliance Project Bag pattern, where you cross-stitch a star block directly onto the fabric. Both collections were designed for her book, Garden Dalliance Sampler (C&T Publishing, 2026).
Outside of quilts, Linen Aqua brightens zipper pouches, aprons and summer table linens.
