Garden Dalliance – Wide Back Quilting Fabric – First Impressions – Indigo – 108"

First Impressions Indigo gives Garden Dalliance quilts a deep, coordinating 108" wide back. Designer Shelley Cavanna built this Benartex collection around rich indigo grounds, and First Impressions carries that color into backing yardage.

Indigo is a dependable backing color for quilts that will see regular use, and it suits tops made from any of the collection's colorways. On the front, the six Indigo prints (Promenade, Hedgerow, Posy, Wisteria, Quadrille and Pressed Petals) give you plenty of ways to echo the backing. If you'd like a second option, Shadowleaf Indigo is the collection's other indigo wide back.

A 108" width lets you back many quilts with fewer seams than standard-width yardage, and smaller quilts may not need piecing at all. Larger quilts can still require a seam, so measure your top and include your quilter's recommended overage before ordering.

Garden Dalliance was designed to accompany Shelley's book, Garden Dalliance Sampler (C&T Publishing, 2026), with 20 blocks, six quilts and six cross-stitch patterns, as well as Cora's Quilts block-of-the-month projects such as Rosemere and Willowynd.
