Promenade is one of the prints in Garden Dalliance, Shelley Cavanna's collection for Benartex inspired by the wild beauty of Regency-era English gardens. The print takes its name from the afternoon promenades that shaped the collection's palette, and this Aqua colorway brings the cooler side of that palette to your fabric pull.
Aqua is one of the botanical colors Shelley set against the collection's deep indigo grounds, so it gives you a natural bridge between the darkest prints and the coral, berry and grass green colorways. Use it where you want a quilt to breathe: alternate blocks, outer borders, or sashing between more saturated fabrics.
Shelley designed Garden Dalliance specifically for the projects in her book, Garden Dalliance Sampler (C&T Publishing, 2026), which includes 20 blocks, six quilts and six cross-stitch patterns. If you're stitching along, Promenade Aqua pairs naturally with the quieter Garden Threads coordinates, including the peony, orange blossom and linen-look prints.
Away from the quilt frame, a yard or two of Promenade Aqua makes pillow covers, a tote lining, or a set of placemats for spring tables.
