Pressed Petals Indigo sets this Garden Dalliance print in the collection's anchoring color. Designer Shelley Cavanna built the Benartex collection on rich indigo grounds, layering botanical color in aqua, coral, berry and grass green with pops of buttercup yellow and deep aubergine.
For quilters who sort fabric by value, Pressed Petals Indigo belongs on the dark side of the pile. It can define block edges, form the dark half of half-square triangles, or serve as the background of a darker sampler. Because six Garden Dalliance prints come in Indigo, it blends into an indigo-led quilt while adding another design to the mix.
The collection was created to accompany Shelley's book, Garden Dalliance Sampler (C&T Publishing, 2026), and Cora's Quilts patterns including Summerlea, Crocuses and the Petits Fours Table Runner were made for it. Pressed Petals also comes in Berry and Teal if you want the same design in brighter colorways.
Pressed Petals Indigo also makes sense for everyday totes, eyeglass cases and pouches, where a dark fabric is a practical choice that hides wear better than a light one.
