Garden Dalliance – Quilting Cotton – Posy – Indigo

Posy Indigo sets the collection's posy print in deep indigo, the color that anchors Garden Dalliance. Shelley Cavanna designed this Benartex collection around Regency-era English gardens, pairing rich indigo grounds with botanical color in aqua, coral, berry and grass green.

Dark florals give you options lighter florals don't. Posy Indigo can serve as a quilt's main border fabric, a moody background for appliqué, or the outside of a tote bag, where a darker print is practical. It also works as a coordinating backing for smaller quilts and wall hangings.

The collection was designed to accompany Shelley's book, Garden Dalliance Sampler (C&T Publishing, 2026), where blocks and quilts are paired with matching cross-stitch projects. If you're piecing one of the Cora's Quilts projects made for this collection, such as Rosemere or Willowynd, Posy Indigo is a good dark choice for blocks that need contrast.

Pair it with Posy Aqua or Posy Berry to use the same floral in three different colorways across one quilt, a simple way to keep a scrappy top looking planned.
