SRKD-24114-2 in Black is one of just two prints in Robert Kaufman's Fiery Legion, a cotton novelty print collection. It's printed on 100% cotton at 44" wide with a weight of 4.3 ounces per square yard, a standard quilting-cotton weight, so it sews, presses, and quilts the way you're used to.
Robert Kaufman lists this print as large scale with a 12" repeat. That's big enough that the design deserves room to show, so it works well in quilts with large, simple blocks, in wide borders, or as the feature fabric on a pillow or tote. A 12" repeat is also manageable for fussy cutting, since you won't need much extra yardage to center the design in your pieces.
Because the collection has only two prints, Black and its companion SRKD-24113-438 in Night are an easy pair to shop together. Use one as the focus and the other for borders or backing, or add a coordinating solid to give the eye a place to rest between busy novelty pieces.
