The Creative Grids Diamond Trim Tool is a specialty quilting ruler designed by Jean Ann Wright for cutting and trimming 6 inch diamonds, measuring 11-5/8 by 5-1/8 inches overall and made in the USA from acrylic. Diamonds are one of the harder shapes to piece accurately, because the angled points distort easily and a small error at the tip compounds across a block. Trimming each unit to a fixed reference before assembly is what keeps a star flat, and that is the job this tool does. The tool is also 2-1/2 inch strip friendly, so it works directly with jelly rolls and precut strips rather than requiring yardage cut specially.
