This is a Creative Grids multi-size triangle ruler, combining two triangle tools in one and measuring 9-1/2 by 6-1/4 inches overall. The 45 degree side cuts half-square triangles from strips up to 5-1/2 inches wide, producing finished half-square triangles up to 5 inches. The 90 degree side cuts quarter triangles finishing up to 5 inches. The seam allowance math is built into the markings, so you cut to the finished size you want rather than calculating and adding on — the step where triangle units most often go wrong. Markings are printed in black and white for clear reading against any fabric.
The underside carries Creative Grids' gripper, which lets the ruler slide freely over fabric until you apply pressure, at which point it holds and stops the ruler walking mid-cut. That's the difference between a clean cut and a shaved point, particularly along the long bias edge of a triangle.
