Tapestry is a cotton batik quilting fabric from Riley Blake Designs, part of Boho Batiks — the debut batik collection from Jennifer Long of Sew A Story. Each print in the line is hand-dyed and hand-stamped using the Tjap method, designed and developed alongside batik artisans in Indonesia, and Riley Blake states the fabrics are ethically sourced. The collection leans earthy and warm, made with memory quilts, everyday sewing and the simple projects that end up mattering most.
Because every piece is hand-dyed and hand-stamped by hand, the fabric may vary from the image shown — the small shifts in tone and stamp placement are the mark of a real batik, and no two cuts are quite alike. Riley Blake recommends the collection for quilting, apparel and home décor, and the grounded, hand-touched palette is easy to work with across all three. Care as printed: pre-washing suggested, machine wash cold, tumble dry low.
