The Clip 'n Glide Bodkin is a sewing tool for threading elastic, ribbon, trim or cording through a fabric casing. A spring clip at one end grips the end of the material and holds it firmly, so the elastic doesn't twist loose halfway along a waistband — the failure that turns a five-minute job into re-threading the whole casing from the start. It's designed for casings measuring 3/4 inch and wider and easy to use.
The tool is flexible along its length, which is what lets it follow a curved casing as readily as a straight one: waistbands, cuffs, hoods, drawstring bags and curved hems all bend in ways a rigid bodkin fights. Being able to feel the tip through the fabric and steer it makes threading faster and reduces the chance of catching the casing seam. This listing is for the bodkin only; no elastic, ribbon, cording or notions are included.
