Use Notes Black anywhere you need a deep value: backgrounds for bright or white appliqué, outer borders, sashing in a high-contrast quilt, or binding. It’s especially handy for scrappy quilts, where a printed black adds more interest than a flat solid, and printed blacks also hide wear on bags and table runners.
