Aura is QT Fabrics' line of watercolor blender wide backs, and Brown brings the collection's soft, shifting color into warm earth tones. It's 100% cotton at 108" wide, printed with a mottled watercolor effect that moves between lighter and deeper shades without a defined motif.
A blender is the safest backing choice when you want the quilt top to be the star. Brown works with autumn palettes, rustic and farmhouse quilts, and scrappy quilts full of warm prints. The watercolor texture also disguises quilting stitches, so thread color matters less, which is a real help when a quilt has many colors on top.
The 108" width means one length can back many quilts with fewer seams than 44" fabric, leaving a smooth back that's easy to load on a longarm. Because it reads almost like a textured solid, it's also useful for borders, binding, or a large pieced background.
