Blooms is a cheerful wide back from Aunt Grace Goes Scrappy by Judie Rothermel, part of the 108" Premium Quilt Backs line. Little red, yellow, and blue flowers with green leaves are scattered across a cream background sprinkled with tiny pin dots, capturing the sweet, scrappy look of 1930s feedsack prints. It’s 100% cotton and 108/110" wide, with a weight of 144 g/sq m.
The extra width lets you back many larger quilts with little or no piecing. The light, airy design is a natural match for 1930s reproduction and scrappy quilts, and the small allover flowers help hide quilting stitches on the back while still looking fresh and pretty.
Use Blooms to back Grandmother’s Flower Garden, Dresden Plate, and other vintage-style quilts, or baby and cottage quilts that call for a soft, happy print. It’s also lovely for tablecloths and spring décor. Pair it with Aunt Grace yardage or bright reproduction solids on the front for a coordinated finish.
