Desert Green is a soft, fresh batik from Artisan Batiks: Wild Terrain by Robert Kaufman, a collection inspired by rugged landscapes, forests, rivers, and stone. Tiny dots in leafy green are scattered densely across a mottled background of sage, mint, and aqua, with hints of golden yellow, like new growth after a desert rain. It’s 100% combed cotton, 44" wide, and 3.1 oz. per square yard.
As the lightest of these Wild Terrain colorways, Desert Green is a versatile blender. Use it as a background with gentle texture, a light-to-medium value in scrappy quilts, or sashing that softens bolder batiks. It’s a lovely choice for garden and botanical quilts, spring projects, and landscape quilts.
