Baby Lock Aerial Sewing and Embroidery Machine

Embroidery editing and design transfer
Combine, reposition, rotate, resize, duplicate, and mirror supported designs directly on the machine. Adjust lettering layouts and spacing, change thread colors, create repeating borders, add alignment thread marks, and use embroidery basting. Available editing functions depend on the selected pattern.
Transfer designs using compatible USB media or the included USB cable connected to a computer. The instruction manual lists .pes, .phc, and .dst embroidery formats. Tajima .dst files use default thread colors and appear by filename rather than thumbnail in the pattern list. Saved embroidery patterns use .phc format.
Use the manufacturer’s USB compatibility chart when choosing media. The manual documents older Windows systems for direct computer transfer; compatibility with newer operating systems should be confirmed before purchase. Patterns held temporarily in the connected-computer transfer area are cleared when the machine is turned off, so retain a permanent copy.
Included with the machine
The Aerial includes its embroidery unit, flatbed accessory-storage assembly, and two embroidery frame sets with grids: 8 inches by 12 inches (200 by 300 mm) and 5 inches by 7 inches (130 by 180 mm).
Eleven included presser feet cover a wide range of techniques: zigzag J, monogramming N, overcasting G, zipper I, buttonhole A, blind stitch R, button fitting M, straight stitch, mid-shank embroidery, 1/4-inch quilting with guide, and free-motion open-toe quilting O.
Also included are the straight stitch needle plate, embroidery needle plate cover, presser-foot adapter and screw, standard and alternate bobbin cases, gray bobbin-work case, bobbin center pin and instructions, bobbin covers, 10 bobbins including the installed bobbin, standard and ballpoint needles, a twin needle, embroidery ballpoint needles, spool accessories, seam ripper, scissors, cleaning brush, eyelet punch, screwdrivers, stylus, knee lifter, USB cable, foot controller, embroidery bobbin thread, stabilizer material, power cord, chalk pencil, dust cover, accessory bag, and manufacturer guides. Optional accessories and membership
Optional accessories sold separately include Palette 11 embroidery software, the BLMA-ET extension table, BLTY-EF LED-pointer embroidery foot, BLMA-MFC multifunction foot controller, compatible dual-feed and walking feet, additional embroidery hoops, foot kits, and travel bags. Palette 11 software is not included with the machine.
Optional Love of Sewing Level 1 is a separately purchased four-year service, support, and education membership. Size and sewing details
Machine-only weight is approximately 33.7 pounds. Machine-only dimensions are approximately 22-1/2 inches wide by 11-3/16 inches deep by 13-1/16 inches high. With the embroidery unit attached, dimensions are approximately 32-1/16 inches wide by 18-1/4 inches deep by 13-1/16 inches high.
Ordinary sewing stitches offer widths up to 7 mm and lengths up to 5 mm. Dedicated basting stitches allow longer stitch lengths. The machine provides 14 one-step buttonhole styles. Twin-needle sewing is available with compatible stitches and the required twin-needle setting; twin and wing needles must be threaded manually.
Manufacturer warranty
The supplied manufacturer spec sheet lists a 25-year limited warranty, 10 years on parts, 5 years on circuits, 5 years on electrical components, and 1 year on labor. Manufacturer terms, conditions, and exclusions apply. Optional Love of Sewing membership is separate from the standard factory warranty.
